Review of TRUE NORTH by L. E. Sterling

***Now Available***

Rarely does a sequel live up to the hype of the original but TRUE NORTH manages to do just that. Author L.E. Sterling set the bar pretty high with her first book in the series, TRUE BORN, and she manages to rise above. Perfect blend of bleak dystopian landscape; mystery and political intrigue; and a hint of steamy romance will have readers eagerly turning pages. Fantastic characters will draw readers in. Can’t recommend this book and series highly enough.

As they say in Dominion, sometimes it’s not you…it’s your DNA.

Review of RENEGADE RED by Lauren Bird Horowitz

***Now Available***

The exciting second book in “The Light Trilogy” by Lauren “Birdaileen” Horowitz will not disappoint readers that fell in love with the first book, SHATTERED BLUE. Oftentimes the sequel doesn’t live up to the original, but that isn’t the case with RENEGADE RED. Readers will be drawn back into the world created in SHATTERED BLUE and into the characters lives. Noa, Callum, and Judah are well drawn characters that readers will be sucked into their lives. Twists and turns abound that will leave readers guessing. Definitely recommend!

THE QUEEN has been Crowned…

The exciting conclusion of the FAE trilogy, THE QUEEN, is FINALLY here!!!

CJ Abedi doesn’t disappoint.
An epic ending to the series that will have readers ugly sobbing, laughing, cheering, and falling more in love with the characters. The addition of longer flashbacks into Caroline’s family history are extremely emotional and a welcome addition to the story. They enhance rather than detract from the tale. Characters are fully developed and a deeper understanding of what makes them tick is achieved. Readers opinions of characters, including Alderon and Puck, will be forever changed.
CJ Abedi creates an incredible world and characters. Definitely recommend the entire series!

Onnaleigh Moore is part of a plan—and it isn’t hers. When her brother dies in a car accident, Onna is desperate to preserve the tatters of her family. Any hope of finding normalcy vanishes when her mother runs off and her dad turns to booze to numb his pain. Onna’s grief is crippling, but the boy who showed up just when she needed him is helping her cope.
Everett’s presence is comforting, though he knows things—Onna’s name just before they met, where she lives, and sometimes he comments on thoughts she doesn’t say aloud. She pegs him for a stalker, or maybe psychic, but the truth is deadlier than she imagines. As their feelings for one another deepen, Everett confesses a horrifying secret: Onna’s brother is only the beginning of the plan, and some fates are worse than death.

New #YA series by K.R. Conway

I was so in love with #Undertow by K.R. Conway that I had to hurry up and read the sequel #Stormfront and the novella #CruelSummer. I am totally hooked on this series! Fantastic characters and well written stories. If you like #YA and enjoyed #Twilight or #TMI (The Mortal Instruments), these books will be right up your alley. Perfect blend of real life teenage situations (growing into your adult self, high school, first love, and child/parent relationships) with fantastical elements (shape shifting, psychic abilities, soul suckers, immortality, and dangerous powers). Definitely worth checking out!!!
