This book is AMAZING. Run out and get your copy today!!!

Not just another dystopian novel. This book will grab you by the throat and leave you breathless. Told from alternating viewpoints, you will be drawn into the lives of Eighth, a Nahx alien invader, and Raven, a human girl with a troubled past. ZERO REPEAT FOREVER is unlike anything readers have come across before. Full of danger, mystery, loneliness, despair, hope, friendship, and even a hint of romance. Readers won’t be able to put it down. Definitely recommend!

New book by Freya Barker

The FINAL book in the Portland, Maine series by Freya Barker is LIVE!!!

A perfect conclusion to an incredible series! Be sure to check it out. Definitely recommend this ENTIRE series but STILL AIR is my new FAVORITE!
_______________________

Deprival haunted her…
Regret troubled her…
Silence left her detached…
A life in the service of others is both penance and a blessing. She soothes her personal hell by pulling victims from theirs, helping them on their path to survival; never finding her own.
When a crippling blow finally evaporates her last hope, the temptation to give up is strong. Still, she can’t find it in her to turn her back on those who need her: the innocent, whose rescue is her perpetual goal.
He was blind, but now he sees how his family has sifted through his fingers. The reality hits hard when his son becomes a stranger, slipping deeper into transgression. Concern has him call on the one person he fears will see his own failures all too clearly. A woman he’s kept his distance from for his own protection.
What appeared to be an incompatible pairing, turns out the unyielding bond needed to heal them all.

Review of THROUGH FIRE by Freya Barker

Freya Barker does it again with this heart wrenching tale from her “Portland, Maine” series. Be sure to have a box of tissues on hand when reading because you’ll need them. Full of heart, hope, pain, anguish, and redemption. This book will grab your heart and throw it in a blender. But, despite the emotional turmoil this book will subject the reader to, you will come out of it feeling restored and hopeful. Some things had to be forged THROUGH FIRE to reveal their true form. Definitely recommend.

Description
Violence corroded her…

Obedience defiled her…
Fear kept her chained…
Freedom is hard to embrace when she’s never learned to trust. Yet in the span of a second, she grabs a single opportunity and runs toward it. Straight into the sanctuary of a pub at the end of a wharf.
She doesn’t understand the concept of friendship. She’s never felt the connection of a relationship. She’s as innocent as the driven snow and yet tainted with corruption. Still, she finds herself surrounded by people who accept her, without even knowing the first thing about her.
But one of them is determined to dig deeper.

He treasures his friends, yet he’s steered clear of committed relationships. He likes his life comfortably predictable and entirely controlled. Until it isn’t. For months he’s avoided interacting with The Skipper’s newest addition. Perhaps realizing that once he looked deeply into those liquid brown eyes, he wouldn’t be able to turn away.
When his present and her past puts them both on the brink of change, they are forged through fire as one.

Description

Hockey legend Devin Garrison thought he blew his shot. But his relationship with Callie Caplan just went into overtime.
Sexy, rich, and one of the biggest stars in the NHL, Devin Garrison has always been the one who had it all. That is until his marriage falls apart and he realizes he has to start over. If he’s honest, there has only been one woman who ever really excited him-Callie Caplan. They shared a night that was hotter than the late-summer sun, but in an instant-Callie was gone, pretending it never happened.
Callie Caplan isn’t the wild child people think she is. It’s true she’s avoided relationships, but only because she’s seen how crazy love can be. And her messy, imperfect life is crazy enough without opening her heart to a man-even one as picture perfect as Devin. But when fate brings them back together-just as they need each other most-Devin is determined to convince Callie that what she’s feeling is real. And this final play may be their chance at forever . . .

Review of HANOVER HOUSE by Brenda Novak

Exciting prequel to a new psychological thriller series by Brenda Novak! Truly enjoyable and I can’t wait until the first full length novel comes out. I loved reading about Dr. Evelyn Talbot and her quest to understand the psychotic minds of serial killers. She had suffered through a horrible ordeal as a teenager and was able to pull through and become a successful psychologist who is set to open a special prison in the wilds of Alaska to study psychopaths. With the person who nearly killed her when she was a teenager still on the loose, Evelyn lives half a life and hasn’t been able to get close to other men. But when handsome Alaskan State Trooper, Sergeant Amarok, comes on the scene things begin to shift. Danger lurks in every corner and the stakes are getting high. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book! This novella does a great job of whetting your appetite and leaves you anxious for more. Definitely recommend.

Hanover House

The Hanover House Chronicles

Prequel novella to Brenda Novak’s new Hanover House Chronicles (digital only).

Welcome to Hanover House….

Psychiatrist Evelyn Talbot has dedicated her life to solving the mysteries of the psychopathic mind. Why do psychopaths act as they do? How do they come to be? Why don’t they feel any remorse for the suffering they cause? And are there better ways of spotting and stopping them?

After having been kidnapped, tortured and left for dead when she was just a teenager—by her high school boyfriend—she’s determined to understand how someone she trusted so much could turn on her. So she’s established a revolutionary new medical health center in the remote town of Hilltop, Alaska, where she studies the worst of the worst.

But not everyone in Hilltop is excited to have Hanover House and its many serial killers in the area. Alaskan State Trooper, Sergeant Amarok, is one of them. And yet he can’t help feeling bad about what Evelyn has been through. He’s even attracted to her. Which is partly why he worries.

He knows what could happen if only one little thing goes wrong…

Review of RYKER by Sawyer Bennett

HOLY HOTNESS was Ryker a great book! Sawyer Bennett outdid herself with this one. This is the 4th book of her Cold Fury hockey romance series. I’ve read them all and Ryker and Gray’s story was FANTASTIC. Ryker is a hot, single dad who happens to be a top goalie in the NHL. Throw in Gray, his sexy General Manager, and you have a delicious recipe for disaster. Forbidden fruit always tastes sweeter and they can’t help themselves from taking a bite. I definitely recommend this book! Be sure to check out the other books in the series. You won’t be disappointed.
The rugged men of the Carolina Cold Fury hockey team are winning hearts once again in another scorching novel from New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett.

The stakes have never been higher for Carolina Cold Fury goalie Ryker Evans. With his contract running out, he’s got a year left to prove he’s still at the top of his game. And since his wife left him, Ryker has been balancing life as a pro-hockey star and a single parent to two daughters. Management is waiting for him to screw up. The fans are ready to pounce. Everybody’s taking dirty shots—except for the fiery redhead whose faith in Ryker gives him a fresh start.

As the league’s only female general manager, Gray Brannon has learned not to mix business with pleasure. And yet even this tough, talented career woman can’t help breaking her own rules as she gives Ryker everything she’s got. She hopes their hot streak will last forever, but with Ryker’s conniving ex plotting to reclaim her man, the pressure’s on Gray to step up and save a tender new love before it’s too late.

STUPID LOVE by Cindy Miles is worth a look

Looking for a great New Adult romance series? Check out the STUPID IN LOVE series by Cindy Miles. Her third installment to the series, STUPID IN LOVE, is coming soon. I just finished the ARC from NetGalley and it was fantastic!!! Just be sure to have some Kleenex handy because it is definitely an emotional roller coaster!!!
Bestselling new adult author Cindy Miles is set to capture the hearts of STUPID GIRL fans again with the grand finale of the Stupid in Love series, featuring Memory and Jace.
MEMORY
Casualties.
That’s how I refer to the guys who’ve had the bad fortune to fall for me. They only see long legs that they wish were wrapped around them, a cat-like smile, and the reckless abandon to take on any wild dare. It’s all a game to me. Show me a bridge, and I’ll leap over the side. Give me a car, and I’ll race it. Give me a heart, and I’ll break it. I always win. I even showed Death who was boss a long time ago.
Or so I thought.
Now, time is running out, and I’m losing fast…and big. I met someone. Jace Beaumont. He’s smart, and good, and I dream about spending days exploring the summit of his perfect lips. But, I’m a grenade. I know I should leave him be. I can’t.
JACE
Study, class, work, repeat. That’s all I have time for. At twenty-five years old, I have a bit more mileage on me than the average college freshman. But, that’s what happens when you spend your youth drinking, partying, and bagging girls like it’s a full-time job. Now, I have goals. There’s just one kink in my plans. Her name is Memory. She’s every guy’s dream girl. She’s intoxicating. She’s trouble. I want to stay away. I can’t.

Review of MAKING A PLAY by Victoria Denault

Luc Richard is the hottest player in the NHL—and it has nothing to do with hockey. His racy relationship with his supermodel ex set the tabloids on fire but nearly put his career on ice. To avoid being traded, Luc agrees to take a break from the spotlight—and from women—and spend the off-season at home in Silver Bay, Maine. It’s the perfect plan . . . until he reconnects with Rose.

Rose Caplan is tired of being shy, sweet, and safe. She’s ready for passion, romance—and Luc. Having loved him longer than she can remember, she’s finally ready to prove she’s not the same innocent little girl he once knew. Off the ice Luc doesn’t do games, but this new Rose makes him feel like playing a little dirty. If he’s really got a shot at her heart then he’s not just playing to win. He’s playing for keeps…

I love this series by Victoria Denault! I really enjoyed the first book, ONE MORE SHOT, and I was pleasantly surprised that this book was even better. It was easy to get right back into the story with very little trouble.

Even though this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone novel. The writer does an excellent job of bringing the reader up to speed without taking them away from the story for the recap. The backstory is seamlessly introduced.

I love the characters, Rose and Luc, and you can’t help rooting for them to find true love. They both have a lot of growing up to do and it was great watching them find their way. The story was well written, fast moving, and engaging. The reader is caught from the very first page. Definitely recommend this book! Five stars

This book comes out on September 8th, 2015, so mark your calendars NOW! Go to http://www.victoriadenault.com for more information on her books and buying links.
