Description

Some people live their entire lives without changing their perspective. For Allison Dennis, all it takes is 180 seconds…

After a life spent bouncing from one foster home to the next, Allison is determined to keep others at arm’s length. Adopted at sixteen, she knows better than to believe in the permanence of anything. But as she begins her third year in college, she finds it increasingly difficult to disappear into the white noise pouring from her earbuds.
One unsuspecting afternoon, Allison is roped into a social experiment just off campus. Suddenly, she finds herself in front of a crowd, forced to interact with a complete stranger for 180 seconds. Neither she, nor Esben Baylor, the dreamy social media star seated opposite her, is prepared for the outcome.
When time is called, the intensity of the experience overwhelms Allison and Esben in a way that unnerves and electrifies them both. With a push from her oldest friend, Allison embarks on a journey to find out if what she and Esben shared is the real thing—and if she can finally trust in herself, in others, and in love.

Review of WALK OF SHAME by Lauren Layne

***Now AVAILABLE***

Socialite Georgianna Watkins has been engaged in a battle of wills with her sexy neighbor, celebrity divorce lawyer Andrew Mulroney, since they both moved in. What happens when the battle lines are blurred by smoking hot sexual attraction? Readers will enjoy the witty banter and fall for the characters. Absolutely fell in love with this book. Lauren Layne has many delightful tales but this was by far my favorite. Definitely recommend!

Description

Sparks fly between a misunderstood New York socialite and a cynical divorce lawyer in this lively standalone rom-com from the USA Today bestselling author of Blurred Lines and Love Story.

Pampered heiress Georgianna Watkins has a party-girl image to maintain, but all the shopping and clubbing is starting to feel a little bit hollow—and a whole lot lonely. Though Georgie would never admit it, the highlights of her week are the mornings when she comes home at the same time as her uptight, workaholic neighbor is leaving to hit the gym and put in a long day at the office. Teasing him is the most fun Georgie’s had in years—and the fuel for all her naughtiest daydreams.
Celebrity divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney doesn’t have much time for women, especially spoiled tabloid princesses who spend more time on Page Six than at an actual job. Although Georgie’s drop-dead gorgeous, she’s also everything Andrew resents: the type of girl who inherited her penthouse instead of earning it. But after Andrew caps one of their predawn sparring sessions with a surprise kiss—a kiss that’s caught on camera—all of Manhattan is gossiping about whether they’re a real couple. And nobody’s more surprised than Andrew to find that the answer just might be yes.

Review of DANCING IN THE RAIN by Kelly Jamieson

Kelly Jamieson will rip a reader’s heart out and put it in an emotional blender before putting the pieces back together but their heart will never be the same. This book deals with the loss of a loved one and how difficult it can be. Drew Sellers has just found out that he has a 12 year old daughter when a former drunken one night stand, Sara, shows up and tells him that she had just recently figured out Drew’s identity. Sara is dying of cancer and she wanted him to know about his daughter, Chloe, before she died. Drew is uncertain if he wants to get involved. Sara’s sister, Peyton, has come to take care Sara and Chloe and sparks fly between her and Drew. The story is full of heartache, tears, steamy sex, and characters finding their way in life following a tragedy. Amazingly written and readers will be sucked in. Definitely recommend!

Happily ever afters aren’t just for fairy tales. In this heartfelt novel, a retired athlete must become a father to the daughter he never knew—just as he discovers the power of love with a woman who reignites his passions.

Drew Sellers is drowning in broken dreams and empty beer bottles. Hockey was his world, until a bum knee reduced him from superstar to has-been. Then he learns that, thanks to a one-night-stand back in college, he’s the father of a preteen girl with major issues. Her protective aunt sees right through Drew’s BS, but “Auntie P” is no stereotypical spinster. With her slender curves, toned legs, and luscious lips, she has Drew indulging in fantasies that aren’t exactly family-friendly.
At another point in her life, Peyton Watt would have been all over a cocky alpha male who pushes all her buttons like Drew. Right now, though, she needs to focus on taking care of her niece during her sister’s health crisis, all while holding down a job and keeping her own head above water. Besides, Drew’s clearly no father of the year. He’s unemployed. He drinks too much. And he’s living in the past. But after Peyton gets a glimpse of the genuine man behind his tough-guy façade, she’s hooked—and there’s no going back.

Review of TRUE NORTH by L. E. Sterling

***Now Available***

Rarely does a sequel live up to the hype of the original but TRUE NORTH manages to do just that. Author L.E. Sterling set the bar pretty high with her first book in the series, TRUE BORN, and she manages to rise above. Perfect blend of bleak dystopian landscape; mystery and political intrigue; and a hint of steamy romance will have readers eagerly turning pages. Fantastic characters will draw readers in. Can’t recommend this book and series highly enough.
